Background & reach
The BodyTalk System was developed by John Veltheim in 1996. There are approximately 2200 Certified BodyTalk Practitioners and has a thriving community worldwide. The US based International BodyTalk Association oversees teacher and practitioner training and certification, development and use of training materials as well as standards of use.
There is a self-care level of BodyTalk (non-professional users and individuals who are non-members of PBKL) and different levels of practitioner qualifications. Each practitioner level requires both written and practical exams. The local association was set up in 2016 and currently has 18 members, with 5 certified practitioners located locally.

How Does BodyTalk Work?
Step 1: Asking the body where to begin
Navigation of the BodyTalk protocol chart with use of muscle feedback.
Step2: Prioritising for healing focus
Areas of imbalance are indicated by the body and root causes of dis-ease are identified.
Step 3: Stimulating shifts
Gentle tapping and non-invasive techniques repair communication channels within the body-mind.
Step 4 Integration:
Body initiates its own healing processes
